Cascadia is a town on BetaMC owned by aq2a.It is an exclusive village with stunning views and scenery. The town is always looking for active people, and encourages prospective builders and members to contact the owner if they are interested in joining.
Town History
Adal
Before significant development began in Cascadia it was a claim owned by aq2a called Adal. This was a place-holder name as aq2a intended to use the land in the future thanks to it's natural beauty. During this time, a number of structures were built in what is now Olde Town. Adal was renamed to Cascadia after the construction of the BMC Warehouse, and developments in the town became more expansive.
Warehouse Opening
Upon the completion of the BMC Warehouse, aq2a created a stargate next to the mall entrance, linking the shop to spawn. Given the Warehouse reputation, the shop began welcoming it's new visitors to notable success. Visitors to the Warehouse also meant visitors to Cascadia, and the town increased notoriety due to it's high standard of building and appealing landscape. This time marks a shift in development in Cascadia where construction advanced at a rapid pace. Previously construction was fairly staggered, but after this point new buildings rose quite frequently. Continuing Development
Today, Cascadia is still being expanded. With land claims that encompass the entire continent in which it sits, with multiple large projects in the works. Recent developments have led to the construction of The University of Cascadia, as well as the first foundations of a Cascadian Palace.
Districts
City Center
Cascadia's city center is the most developed and impressive district in the town. It lies between multiple mountains and is the focus of most construction today. Consisting of mostly commercial and residential buildings, it offers great views and excellent quality of life. Because of it's high standards, it is a restricted building area, requiring the highest level of clearance to build new structures. Although, interior contracts are still available to those of less build clearance.
Booty Bay
On the other side of the BMC Warehouse lies a pirate cove built by Orknarok_666. It's style consists of small wooden, or brick buildings stacked upon each other, along with nautical themes of ships and ports. Its development is currently stunted as it's chief builder has all but left the server entirely.
Cascadian Harbor
Cascadia's harbor district wraps around the large mountains that flank the city center. It consists of small coastal homes, warehouses, docks, and ports. Although it's development has been slow in comparison to the city center, it still remains an important project to town leadership.
Cascadian Underground
Cascadia's underground transit system is planned to be quite expansive and include stops at all major districts. Although construction has yet to begin, it is known and documented that there are multiple dungeon systems that lie underneath the town which must have proper infrastructure developed prior to construction.
