Server Description

BetaMC is a Beta 1.7.3 Minecraft server, that aims to bring a unique experience to the legacy community. With PvP, Economy, Jvillage, and a number of other custom plugins, you can play legacy Minecraft the way you want to!

How to join

Since our server runs on Minecraft Beta 1.7.3, you'll need to play on that version. (There are a couple of exceptions to that rule to be detailed in future guides).
Launching Beta 1.7.3 using the official launcher.
If you've never played beta Minecraft before, you may want to run it on a vanilla instance at first:

  1. Open the Minecraft Launcher (Java Edition)
  2. Click on Installations at the top.
  3. Click New Installation and name it something like "Beta 1.7.3"
  4. Click on the Version dropdown and scroll down to find old_beta b1.7.3 (you may need to enable "Show historical versions" in the launcher settings)
  5. Click Create, then go back to the Play tab and select your new installation
  6. Launch the instance, and connect to betamc.org

Launching Beta 1.7.3 using a Third-Party Launcher (MultiMC, Betacraft, etc.)
If you prefer a dedicated Beta 1.7.3 experience with mod and support fixes (suggested), consider using MultiMC, Prism, or Betacraft launchers.

  • MultiMC (Recommended for those interested in personalization)
  • Prism (Alternative to MultiMC)
  • Betacraft (includes built-in QOL features and fixes)
